Here it is, my first blog post! If you haven't already read my "About me" section, please do. In less than three weeks, I will leaving and embarking on a new chapter in my life. I will be packing my bags and traveling to the Czech Republic for a semester abroad. I'm looking forward to living in another country and experiencing a culture different from my own. However, leaving my family and friends behind will be a challenge. Eleven weeks is a long time to be out of my comfort zone and away from those I love. I'm looking forward to traveling, discovering my ancestry, making friends, getting lost, trying new things (especially food, kolaches here I come!), learning the language, and enjoying a beer or two!
